SIMU Software Links
| MikTeX. This is a
free TeX/LaTeX "engine" for PC's. Go there. |
| TeX for Windows.
This is a free, very good text editor for TeX/LaTeX for the PC.
Install the program. (This is only the editor; you NEED TO INSTALL
MikTeX or else
you will not be able to TeX or LaTeX your files.) Then run it and choose
"directories and
commands" from the options menu. Set at least the following:
TEX-commandline
c:\texmf\miktex\bin\latex.exe
DVIWIN-commandline
c:\texmf\miktex\bin\yap.exe
DVIPS-commandline
c:\texmf\miktex\bin\dvips.exe

| Ghostview. This is
free software that allows you to view and print Postscript files.
This is useful, for example, if you have access to a Postscript printer and
want to print a
document with Postscript graphics. Once you have this installed, you
might want to add the target file to the GSVIEW-commandline
in your TeX

software devoted to supporting research in algebraic
geometry and computational algebra. Go

a free computer algebra system for polynomial computations.
